Almost time.....Week 38

Wow, only two more weeks to go. Plus or minus. Who knows when he will actually arrive. That is the frustrating part now, just waiting. His room is all done, shopping is all done, parties all done, classes and paperwork all done. Of course there is always more house cleaning that could be done but there is only so much energy in a day. Hope he's not allergic to doggy hair!

The weather has been absolutely terrible in my opinion. Disgusting, hot, sweaty grossness. Today, which has stayed cloudy and around 70 has been a fantastic break. My office building is having issues with their air conditioning so yesterday I spent the entire afternoon with my feet on a bag of ice and a ice pack on my neck to keep from overheating. Not ideal for someone who hates it over 70 degrees!

Still been kickboxing, it has kept me sane so far. Feels good to go and get a good workout in a few times a week and hopefully it will help me through labor to have stayed active till the end. Only now am I getting uncomfortable enough that it's affecting my workouts. Pre-natal Yoga has been good too. Just some stretching to keep my joints all lubricated in preparation. Went swimming (is it still called swimming if you are just bobbing around?) on Sunday with my mom over to Dawn's house. It felt freaking fantastic! All the pressure off my back, my tummy is buoyant, it feels fabulous. Going over there again tomorrow. Will try and swim a few times these last two weeks.

We had a baby appointment last Thursday because my tummy was measuring bigger than usual for the week I was and they just wanted to check it all out. So we got to see Finn again. He is head down, facing my back, which is good. We couldn't see his face but we saw that he has a lot of hair and he was holding onto his foot (everyone can sigh with gooey cuteness)! They also estimated that he was just over 7 lbs. and has a good size head. Great. Couldn't see his face because he was facing away but that's okay. It was still good to see who's making my tummy move in the strangest ways!

We have our bags packed and we're ready to go....I think. It's still a pretty scary thought as to what I'm supposed to do. But it helps that it's so hot outside that it pushes me to get over the fear and look forward to him coming out!
