He has arrived! On August 3, 2010 at 9:07 am our little bundle came into the world! He weighed 8 lbs 2.3 oz and was 20-1/2" long with a noggin' measuring 13-3/4" (which is why after 12 hours of labor he had to come by c-section). Official reason for c-section was "failure to descend". Couldn't fit his big noggin' through my pelvic bones. We tried with all our might and for his safety and mine a c-section was performed. As frustrating and disappointing as having to have a c-section was, we are very glad he arrived healthy. 
Now he's almost 3 weeks old! The first week was a blur as we spent the first three days in the hospital and the rest of that week coping with getting home and for myself dealing with physical pain and no rest. It has definitely been a roller coaster ride. We've had lots of visitors and support and we are really thankful for that. I look forward to sleeping more than 2-3 hours at a time. And by sleep I mean not jerking awake every time he moves or makes a peep! 
We are enjoying this ride, even though we are getting a taste of what colic is...yeah. But we love him like crazy and are so glad he's here at last!
